Meeting

Talk about the pictures and filming.

Talk about the website, how conor wants it.

When he got into puppetry.

Ask about the interviews.

how many pages you want.

Colours he wants and fonts.

Me and Conor met with each other in springboard, we discussed what he wanted his website to look like, what colors he wanted etc. Conor said he wanted the website to look professional but also welcoming and joyful so i went with a colorful background and didn't make it to bright but bright enough, I was going to suggest more black and grey colors but he thought it looked to boring. On the homepage I will be putting a professional picture of Conor with one of his puppets, he was happy with that but also wanted a video about himself so we are going to do a  short documentary in the studio, we are also going to be taking photo's of his puppets and putting them on his website, he will be telling me the photo's he likes and where he wants them to go on the website.

We have decided to do a meet the cast page for his puppets, which we decided to take close up shots of them. I decided to go with the circle slideshow layout for the meet the cast and you can also click on the pictures and know their personality's and what they are about. Overall Conor was happy with mine and his own idea's but he did want me to look at other puppeteers websites to get some idea's for the website. He also said he was very happy with the website idea's I had and he said to have a play around and come back to him so he can tell me what to improve on. The resources I will need will be a camera for taking pictures and shooting videos. I will also need a tripod for the camera to sit on when taking the videos and I will also need access to the studio.

After meeting- What I will need

I will need to take my own pictures of Conor with his puppets, so I will be taking pictures of a couple of puppets a day when he is free in the studio, since he can't bring all of them because he doesn't have enough room in his bag, if he is unable to bring them, we will just schedule the photo;s for another day it shouldn't be a problem.

Conor will be giving me information to put on his biography page and what he will want me to change or put into further detail. I will also give him lots of examples of fonts and color's for his website and other things I think look good on the website.

I will also be recording a short interview with Conor to put on his website which we will record in the studio. We will need a camera, tripod,Microphone,SD card and also a chair for Conor to sit on. I dont want the interview to be to long because no ones going to want to watch a 40 minute documentary when they go on a website so we will try to keep it under 5 minutes.

Website ideas

For my first idea for my client I tried to make a start and see what changes my client wanted, the first website was to give my client an idea on what he wants. Unfortunately he didn't like the layout, he thought it was to serious for a puppeteer. I also used some pictures I found from google images to give him an idea of what it would look like. He also said there were too many gaps and he felt it was quite small.

For my second idea I went with a more bright and colourful layout. My client Conor was happy with it but he thought it was too plain still and not as fun as he wanted it to be. I tried making some changes but he still didn't like it. These are all example's since I haven't got the photo's and videos yet.  He said he wants a video of one of his puppets on the home page introducing his website, so we are going to arrange a date to shoot that video for his website.
